Professional Experience
Cori Convertito holds a doctorate in Maritime History from the University of Exeter (UK), where she examined The Health of British Seamen in the West Indies, 1770–1806, a study exploring British West Indies development and its influence on health and medicine in the Royal Navy.
She currently serves as Curator & Historian for the Key West Art & Historical Society, which operates four distinct and engaging museums on an island with deep ties to multiple industries, Florida Keys culture, and the U.S. Navy.
Previously, Cori also served as Executive Director of The Society for the History of Navy Medicine, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting research, scholarship, and publication in the field of naval and maritime medicine, and to promoting this history to the broader public.
Cori is available as a researcher, historian, writer, exhibit developer, archivist, and lecturer.
